Islabela rosario islands
1 / 8

Islabela Cartagena, also known as Bela Beach, is one of the most flexible day passes in the Rosario Islands. The club has a DJ, beach activities, sun loungers and calm water, and you decide how much is included: just the boat and club access, a full day with lunch, or a day with an open bar.

That flexibility makes it easy to match the day to your budget and your group, whether you are traveling with kids or with friends who want a drink in hand. If this is your first island trip, read our complete Rosario Islands guide before you go.

A day at Bela Beach

Meet at Gate 3 of the La Bodeguita tourist dock at around 7:30 AM. The port tax and the mandatory maritime insurance are paid in cash, in Colombian pesos, at the dock before boarding. These fees are set by the authorities and can change without notice. The shared speedboat leaves around 8:00 AM.

Once you reach Islabela, find a lounger, wade into the calm, clear water and enjoy the music and beach games. On the Standard and Open Bar plans you also get a welcome drink, 20 minutes of kayaking and a Caribbean lunch with seven options to choose from. Keep in mind that outside food, drinks and portable speakers are not allowed on the island. The boat back to the city leaves around 3:00 PM, with timing that depends on the weather and Port Authority clearance.

Why choose Islabela Cartagena

The main reason is choice. Three plans cover everything from a simple beach day to unlimited national drinks, so you only pay for what you plan to use. The calm water is easy for less confident swimmers, which matters if you are traveling with children or older relatives.

The atmosphere is upbeat, with a DJ and beach activities, but the club is not adults-only. Children aged 3 to 10 have their own rate on the Light and Standard plans, so families can enjoy the same lively setting as everyone else.

Light, Standard or Open Bar

Light covers the round-trip shared speedboat, club access and common areas, sun loungers, the DJ and beach activities. It suits travelers who plan to buy food on site.

Standard adds a welcome drink, a Caribbean lunch with seven options and 20 minutes of kayak, making it the easy all-day choice for most visitors.

Open Bar includes everything in Standard, swaps the welcome drink for a welcome cocktail and adds a national open bar. This plan is for adults only.

Showers, towels and the Oceanarium entrance are not included on any plan, and hotel transfers to the dock are not part of the pass. We can arrange a private transfer if you ask on WhatsApp.
