Hotel Rosario de Mar Day Pass – Rosario Islands
- Full day (7:30 AM – 4 PM)
- Great for families
- Boat from La Bodeguita
- Lunch included

A Hotel Rosario de Mar day pass is a smart choice when you want to enjoy the Rosario Islands at a gentle pace. Instead of a party club, you spend the day at an island hotel, Hotel Rosario de Mar by Tequendama, with a calm beach, sun loungers, towels, showers and a volleyball court. It is the kind of setup that makes life easy for families and for anyone who simply wants to switch off.
There are three plans, Arrecife, Corales and Abanico, so you can keep it simple or add drinks and a Balinese bed. Every plan includes the round-trip sports boat from Cartagena, a welcome drink and lunch with a soft drink.
What your day looks like
Meet around 7:30 AM at Gate 3 of the La Bodeguita tourist dock on Avenida Blas de Lezo, in front of the Clock Tower. The dock tax and assistance insurance are paid in cash, in Colombian pesos, before you board. They are set by the authorities and are not included in the booking. The sports boat leaves at about 8:10 AM.
A welcome drink greets you at the hotel, and the rest of the day moves at your speed. Swim in the calm water, nap on a lounger, or get a volleyball game going. Lunch has six options and comes with a soft drink. If you would like to visit the Oceanarium, the transfer is included and the entrance is paid separately. The boat returns to Cartagena around 3:00 PM, although times depend on weather and Port Authority clearance.
Choosing your Hotel Rosario de Mar day pass plan
Arrecife is the core beach day with lunch and the hotel facilities. It is also the only plan with a child rate, for kids aged 4 to 10; guests 11 and up pay the adult rate. Corales adds six national beers per person, a good fit for friends who want a cold drink without a full open bar. Abanico is the social option, with two hours of open bar from about 10 AM to 12 PM, including cocktails of the day, national shots and beer, plus a Balinese bed.
Spa treatments and water sports are not part of any plan and are paid on site.
Who it suits best
Families with young children like the calm beach and the Arrecife child rate. Couples who prefer hotel comfort over a loud beach club enjoy the quieter atmosphere. Groups who want an easy upgrade to drinks can pick Corales or Abanico without turning the day into a party. And travelers who like having towels and showers taken care of can pack light.
Hotel transfers to the dock are not included, but we can arrange a private transfer if you ask on WhatsApp.
