This experience to the Tayrona National Park from Cartagena is for those who like adventure, nature and challenges, since it is physically demanding. Because it starts at 4-5 in the morning until 9-10 at night when you return to the hotel, because you have to drive 190 km (110 miles) there and back, 4 hours each trip, and if you add to that 4 hours of trekking through a humid jungle, it is the perfect complement for those who like challenges.
But in the end it is worth it, since this Tayrona national park has the most beautiful landscapes you can see in nature, because it has 15,000 hectares of humid jungle, of which 3,000 hectares are spectacular beaches that will take your breath away, you can also find see birds, monkeys, and many more species of animals, and you may also meet indigenous Tayronas along the way.
This experience aims to take you to one of the most famous beaches in the Tayrona National Park, which is Cabo San Juan. That is where you will eat your lunch, rest and take a bath in the sea before returning in 2 more hours of trekking back to the parking lot to return to Cartagena.

We must pick you up at 4-5 am
The Tayrona National Park is located 190km (118 miles) away from Cartagena that means that we should drive during 4-5 hours. We must stop at 9-10am to have breakfast, and then continue until we get to our destination.
Once we arrive to the Tayrona national Park we must buy tickets and insurance to allow you the entrance, then you will start to walk through the jungle during 2 hours to get the Cabo San juan Beach where you will enjoy the view, the beach and have lunch before return to the entrance during 2 more hours walking back. You can miss the walk if you hire a horse (but is not included).
Once you return to the parking lot where the driver will be waiting for you, then you will return to Cartagena in a 5 hours driving until your hotel.
