Tintipán and Múcura Island Tour from Cartagena
- Full day (5:30 AM – 5 PM)
- Wed, Fri, Sat and Sun
- Hotel pickup included
- Lunch and insurance included

The Tintipán and Múcura island tour takes you beyond the Rosario Islands to the San Bernardo archipelago, about two hours by speedboat from Cartagena. The water here is clearer and calmer, the beaches are white and quiet, and the islands feel far from the crowds of the closer day trips.
It is a long day that starts before sunrise, and it is worth it if you want the postcard Caribbean: turquoise shallows, palm trees and a slow lunch by the sea.
What you see on the San Bernardo islands tour
Casa en el Agua
On the way you pass Casa en el Agua, a hostel built on stilts in the middle of the sea, one of the most photographed spots in the archipelago.
Santa Cruz del Islote
The boat stops at Santa Cruz del Islote, a tiny island packed with houses, often described as one of the most densely populated islands in the world. You walk its narrow alleys and visit a small handmade aquarium run by the locals.
Tintipán and Múcura
Tintipán is the largest island of San Bernardo and has a beach that is great for snorkeling, so bring your own mask if you have one. Múcura is known for its turquoise water and calm beaches, ideal for swimming and resting before lunch. Lunch is a typical Caribbean plate with coconut rice, fish or chicken, salad and a drink.
Schedule and good to know
Pickup is very early: around 5:30 AM in Bocagrande and 5:35 AM in the Marbella area, with a fruit snack before boarding at La Bodeguita.
