Luxury Beach Club Cartagena is built around one simple promise: an unlimited national open bar from the moment you settle in. Add a speedboat ride to the Rosario Islands, a beach-club lunch, a daily DJ and, on the VIP side, drinks delivered to your bed, and you have one of the most carefree pasadías in the archipelago.

It is a day designed for people who would rather not count drink tickets. You pick your ambiance, VIP or Beach, and the rest of the day is about swimming, music and good company.

What your day looks like

Check in at around 7:15 AM at Gate 4 of the La Bodeguita tourist dock, in front of the Clock Tower. The boat leaves at around 8:00 AM and seats are held only until 8:20 AM, so plan to arrive on time. The dock tax and mandatory maritime insurance are paid in cash in Colombian pesos before boarding.

Once on the island, the open bar is yours for the day while the DJ keeps the mood going. Lunch is served at the club, and fresh-water showers are available to rinse off before the ride home. Everyone can also choose an optional panoramic tour of the islands or a transfer to the Oceanarium, where the entrance is paid separately. Boats head back to Cartagena at around 3:00 PM, depending on sea conditions and port clearance.

VIP or Beach ambiance at Luxury Beach Club Cartagena

The VIP Open Bar plan is for guests aged 10 and up. You are welcomed with a glass of wine, settle into a beach bed for two, and order from a lunch menu with ten options while bar service comes right to your bed.

The Beach Open Bar plan keeps the same unlimited national open bar with an umbrella and sun lounger and a lunch menu with four options. This is the plan for families: it has a child rate for ages 4 to 8, children under 3 ride free, kids get their own menu, and soft drinks replace alcohol for children.

Who it’s for and what to pack

Friends and couples who want drinks flowing, groups celebrating something who still want proper food and music, and families who like a lively club with a kids’ option will all feel at home. The optional panoramic tour or Oceanarium transfer adds a little variety without changing your plan. If your idea of a beach day is a cold drink in hand and no bill to sign, Luxury Beach Club Cartagena is built for exactly that, from the first round to the last.

Towels are not included, so bring your own, along with cash for the dock fees, the Oceanarium entrance or the spa if you want it. Times depend on the weather and the Port Authority.

Comparing open-bar days? Capri Beach Club adds a panoramic tour and premium upgrades, and Islabela’s Open Bar plan is a lively alternative. Our complete Rosario Islands guide covers what to pack, and you can compare all Rosario Islands day passes.

At Luxury Beach Club Cartagena the only real rule is to show up on time; the bar and the Caribbean do the rest.
