Sabai Beach Club Cartagena is a boutique beach day on the Barú peninsula, south of the city, rather than in the Rosario Islands themselves. What sets it apart is space: a 200-meter private beach and a 25-meter infinity pool, with beach beds, towels and an à-la-carte lunch waiting for you.

It is also one of the few day passes where the port tax is already included in the booking. That makes Sabai a good fit for couples, families with children and anyone who prefers a quiet, design-minded beach to a party club.

A slower, more spacious beach day

Check in around 7:30 AM at Marina Todomar in Bocagrande. The premium speedboat leaves at about 8:00 AM, and the ride doubles as a mini tour, passing the colonial Bocachica fort on the way out of the bay. It is a good chance to see the city’s defenses from the water before you reach the beach.

At Sabai you settle into a beach bed with a towel ready, and the day splits easily between the sea and the infinity pool. Take out a kayak or paddle board, join a game of beach volleyball, or stay connected on the WiFi. Lunch is à la carte with one drink, and water and coffee are unlimited throughout the day. There is no fixed schedule of activities, so you can be as active or as lazy as you like. The boat takes you back to the marina around 3:00 PM, subject to sea conditions and Port Authority clearance.

Why choose Sabai Beach Club Cartagena

Sabai is the calm option. With a long private beach and a large pool, there is room to spread out, which matters if you dislike crowds. Children aged 3 to 12 have a special rate, so families can enjoy the same relaxed day without paying full price for younger kids. And because the port tax is part of the booking, there is less to sort out at the marina in the morning.

One plan, port tax included

There is a single Sabai day pass. It covers the round-trip speedboat, the port tax, use of the beach and pool, beach beds and towels, lunch with a drink, unlimited water and coffee, and the activities. Alcoholic drinks and spa treatments are paid on site. Land transfers to Marina Todomar are not included, but we can arrange a private transfer if you message us on WhatsApp. Please check the Meeting point and schedule section for any remaining charges set by the authorities, which can change without notice.

If Barú appeals, compare Isla del Encanto, another private beach and pool with open-bar upgrades, or Pa’ue Beach Lounge for sea-view beds and a family beach. To understand how Barú relates to the islands, read our complete Rosario Islands guide, or compare all Rosario Islands day passes. More sand, more pool and fewer people: Sabai Beach Club Cartagena is the one to book when you want a calm day by the sea.
